As a prospective parent, we know that choosing the right school is important.

Akademia High School is a value-driven school where we focus on teaching the following values: care, honesty, responsibility, respect, consideration, fairness, friendliness and citizenship. 

We strive to educate the total child; we therefore try to take care of all levels involving the child: spiritual, intellectual, emotional, social, physical and cultural.

Akademia High School is a public secondary school located at Brandfort within the Masilonyana Local Municipality of Free State Province.  Our school is a progressive school that moulds confident boys and girls into young ladies and gentlemen women who can play a meaningful role in South African society. The school is committed to quality education for all our learners. Proof of that can be seen in our academic achievement of 80's-90+ matric pass rate for the past 31 years.

Akademia is a FET Phase school which is Grades 10 -12. We pride ourselves on our various subjects and individual attention we can offer our learners. We have an immensely talented and efficient senior school staff. A number of our matric teachers serve as markers, senior markers and internal moderators for various subjects across the province during the end of year Grade 12 Examinations.

There is a great sense of coherence and unity in this phase, with emphasis placed on academic excellence. But, we offer much more than just that. The staff tries to develop each learner holistically, reminding them of the foundation of our ethos – Ante Deum Asto.

Akademia offers all learning areas as required by the Free State Department of Education, according to the CAPS. From our school that has Grades 10-12, learners may choose from a variety of subjects. Learners with differing interests and career choices are accommodated.

Our subject package is geared to ensure that every Grade 12 learner can leave school with a Bachelor’s pass (university admission).

To adhere to the South African Schools Act of 1996, which promotes access to education, promotes quality and democratic governance in the schooling system, and to ensure that all learners have access to quality education without discrimination.

Mission
